Playroom Inspiration

Hello there!

I don't know about you but I'm constantly on the hunt for cool ideas for different rooms in my house. I love looking at photos of interior spaces that I could maybe, possibly one day create for myself and my family. I find it super difficult to actually take the ideas and transform them into reality with two young boys at home. Every DIY project in our home seems to take an extra long time! LOL! I think that because it is our first house, we're afraid of making a mistake. I'm so in awe of parents who manage to take on these projects, and blog about them as well! Truly inspiring!

We are getting better though! Last year sometime we decided to start tackling the playroom. This is the room that houses the majority of our boys toys, video games, and the TV. We decided on going colorful! We have some orange, teal and green on the walls.. Sounds weird, but we like it. It's not as bright as it sounds. I had all these ideas for artwork on the walls, but so far they are pretty much bare. There is a huge window in that room which brings in a lot of light, and all around the window is a floor to ceiling built in medium brown stained bookcase that I'm dying to paint white. Of course in order to do that I will have to take off every single toy and tape all the edges of walls that come into contact with the shelves, give it a good sanding and finally get out the paint and brushes and get to it! I will do it! Hopefully sooner rather than later! I swear! ;)

Which brings me to these lovely images I found on Pinterest that will hopefully give me the kick in the behind that I need to get some sh*t done!

I LOVE this room! the seating along the window is super cute, and I'm digging all the colorful patterns.

The little details in this room are super adorable, like the little animals on top of the trunk. I adore anything chalkboard so this wall really works for me, and the "Welcome to Wonderland". I'd like to make a garland as well, I really like how it breaks up the more harsh lines of the dark wall and the light ceiling.

I absolutely love the red wall and the white wainscoting and built in bookcase. The artwork on the walls are perfect for the space.

Those are my inspiration! I would love for my playroom to come together like these great spaces.
